The PICTURES (34)
We loaded our own truck. Actually, I think we FILLED it.
1993-001

Our first lifeboat drill.
NO other pictures of people
in lifevests exists to this day! (r-i-g-h-t!)
1993-002

Then it's time to take over the Crow's Nest Lounge & Bar.
It must have been that nobody but us knew this place was even here.
We usually had it to ourselves.
1993-003

Pre-Cruise champagne! A Bottle a day.....
1993-004

As we mug for a group photos in our spiffy, new shirts.
1993-005

Already it's time to start working-off the extra pounds.
Rick had to sit-out the Sun Deck activities so he could take pictures.
1993-006

Most of us got our "Passport To Fitness" book all filled-out.
At least, by the last night, we did. :)
1993-007

Then there's always APRES-Activities.
1993-008

Time to scope-out this tub.
Why do they call it a fantail? I see neither one!
1993-009

Something newer ships don't have...
an outdoor Promenade Deck.
We have NO idea who this woman is.
Joan came back from a tour around the ship
laughing hysterically after this encounter!
1993-010 1993-011

Offshore monies, great diving and a dry tender landing.
1993-012

A walkabout with the folks.
1993-013

Time for Rick's first-ever scuba experience.
30-minutes of trainning, a short swim out
and then down 18-feet.
1993-014

He even brought a camera! His first-ever underwater photo.
1993-015

Time for Joan's first-ever snorkel experience. [note the life jacket]
It took a while backing down the ramp into the water.
Then, all I remember is hearing her scream "COOOOOL", through her snorkel.
1993-016

After throwing loaves of bread into the water,
there were plenty of fish for Joan & Jeannie to bump into.
1993-017

Bob got the only "keeper" of the day.
1993-018

Welcome to Jamaica! Have A Nice Day, mahn!
1993-019

To Columbus Park for a pitstop. Then on to Ocho Rios (2-hrs by bus).
1993-020

We had fun walking up the falls in our
rubber booties and holding hands .
Then we ran into the ship's photographer, from
whom we bought this and several other pictures!
1993-021

Our captain (the youngest in the fleet) takes us out for another AT SEA day...
1993-022

...while we watch to make sure he gets it right.
1993-023

Bad weather prevented trips from
flying from Playa del Carmen,
so we sailed straight here.
1993-024

A short taxi ride south and you're in Chankanab State Park. Nice snorkeling.
1993-025

The snorkel excusion. (none of them took this picture. Duh!)
1993-026

We DID see a little 5-foot baracuda in the water (everything looks so big in the water).
It was there at the same time everyday. Lucky Us!
1993-027

And then there was this little lizard lurking nearby. Actually, they were all over the place.
1993-028

We would have stayed longer, but it was dress-up night.
1993-029

The big kids ate at the big-kids table. The rest of us ate here.
1993-030

We weren't supposed to, but we changed for drinks afterwards.
The captain was pissed, but Vangie didn't mind and still served us.
1993-031

Coming into port, a homecomming (of sorts) for Joan.
1993-032

Our last stop and we run into
these Biker Chicks

Actually, one of these ruffians couldn't even
drive the thing and had to get her
husband to sit up front. I did just fine.

1993-033

Then we packed and set our luggage out in the hall.
